Good things come to those who wait. For years I have dreamed about having a girl's retreat. For years I have worked at retreats for other churches. Occasionally, I have spoken at retreats. But never have I planned a girl's retreat and never has Mission Dorado Baptist Church hosted a girl's retreat. In about a week and a half, all that will change. Worth the Wait is blowing into Lubbock and with it a whole lot of happy for the high school girls who will be attending! I am super-excited for those who have already signed up and super-sad for those who are unable to attend. Betsy, forget softball! Tiffany, drop dance! Emily, just say no to soccer! This is great advice, right? :)
For those of you who are on the fence about attending or need just a little extra leverage to convince your friends that this is where they need to be, I give you this info:

Queen size beds...fluffy pillows...you could be there!

This is the 2 bedroom suite that we will be partying, I mean staying in...sweet, huh?

I know that this will be a big selling point - Pool & Hot Tub.

This is the lounge/breakfast room. There is a fireplace, plasma, and lots of cheesy hotel art.
Let's not forget about our special guest, our very own Gilmore Girl, Lesley. You may have met her already - she was here last year at "Be Mine", but if you have slept since then or weren't there, take my word for it - you will LOVE her! I know Lesley through Millie who met her through Campus Crusade at Texas Tech. They became fast friends and Bible study co-leaders. She is a lot of fun and more importantly, she loves Jesus and "walks in a manner worthy of her calling." She recently got married and she now lives in Albuquerque (that is the weirdest cname to spell!) where she is teaching school. I know that you won't want to miss the incredible messages that God has laid on her heart to share with all of you.

Here she is...Lesley Gilmore! She has told me how much she LOVES (insert sarcasm here) having her pic plastered all over all our church, website, and handouts! Come to Worth the Wait and meet her in person...you'll be glad you did!
