Dear Church Family,
These are clearly very exciting, yet very challenging days. The prayers for revival bring with them the added responsibility of being a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Everyone that claims the name of Christ has been bought with His precious blood. With this comes the high calling of living for Him and serving Him with everything that we have.
Ideally, this would be an easy way of life and one that everyone would buy into, however, so many of us show differing levels of commitment to Christ. Every one of us desires spiritual breakthroughs. During the next 8 weeks at 5:15 P.M on Sunday afternoons, we are going to be undertaking a study called “The Three Chairs-Experiencing Spiritual Breakthroughs.” During this time we will talk about your life, your marriage, your family, and your own personal relationship with God. By using the simple images of a chair, we will see three distinct categories of commitment.
If this is really the desire of your heart, we implore you to take this seriously and make a commitment to the Lord that for 8 weeks you will come, get involved, partake in the discussion, and participate in the homework. If we would all gather together expecting God to move and radically change us, what a difference that would make! Surely there is nothing more important, nothing more pressing, and nothing more essential than experiencing God in a new and dynamic way. Nothing has thrilled me more than the fact we had to postpone this class for a week, because so many have signed up and we had to order more books!
There is a sign-up sheet located in the foyer and it is our prayer that everyone who signs it will make a solemn commitment to God. The cost of the workbook you will need is $5 per person (couples may want to have their own individual copies). Don’t miss our on what God has in store for His people who choose to humble themselves and seek His face. Don’t let anyone or anything distract you from this opportunity.
I love you and say so,
Phil
